Stash
Stash slides a window off a screen edge until only a thin sliver shows. Point at the sliver to bring it back into view.

Stash a window
- Give Stash Left, Right, Up or Down a shortcut on Settings → Stash (none by default), or put one on a throw direction.
- Click the window and run the action, or use the tray menu's Stash submenu.
- The window slides to that edge, leaving a 10 px sliver. The next window comes to the front.
Peek and hide
- Rest the pointer on the sliver and the window slides into view.
- Move the pointer away and it hides; your previous window gets the focus back.
- Its taskbar button or Alt+Tab shows it until another window comes to the front.
- Cycle Stashed Windows shows the next stashed window on each press.
- Show or Hide Stashed shows them all until you run it again.
Tabs
Turn on Show tabs for stashed windows for a tab per stashed window, in your accent color.
- Point at a tab to show only its window; click it to show it at once.
- With tabs on, the plain sliver no longer shows the window.
- ••• next to the setting gives each app its own tab color or icon.
Bring a window back
| Do this | Result |
|---|---|
| Run the same stash action again | Returns to where it was. |
| Unstash | Brings back the front window, else the one under the pointer, else the last one stashed. |
| Unstash Left / Right / Up / Down | Brings back every window at that edge. |
| Bring Back All | Brings back every stashed window. |
| Any other action, such as Left Half | Unstashes, then places it. |
| Drag it clear of the edge | Stays where you drop it, or returns to where it was if still mostly off screen. |
| Drag or resize it against the edge | Stays stashed at its new size. |
Quitting TesseraSnap, turning Stash off or the Pro trial ending brings every window back.
Stash every window
- Stash All stashes every visible window at the left or right edge nearest its center, or the other side if that edge touches another display.
- Stash All Except Front keeps the front window where it is.
- A pinned window is left alone.
Which edges work
- Any edge that does not touch another display. Otherwise you see Cannot stash this window there.
- Two displays side by side: the outer left and right edges, and top and bottom.
- A maximized window is restored first.
