Snap does halves and quarters. TesseraSnap does the rest.
Snap puts halves on keys and the rest in a flyout. TesseraSnap puts 22 placements on keys, thirds included; Pro adds a throw gesture and layouts.

Where TesseraSnap is better
More places to put a window, in fewer steps.
A key for every spot
22 shortcuts on install. Press again and a half becomes two thirds, then a third.
A flick instead of a drag
Every Snap move starts at the title bar. A throw starts anywhere: hold Ctrl+Alt and toss the window.
Your desk, back in place
Five named layouts, by shortcut or when you dock, wake or open an app. Windows has no named layouts.
- Thirds when you drag Three bottom-edge areas add thirds to Snap's edges and corners.
- Your own sizes Ten custom sizes, in percent or copied from a window.

Stay with Windows Snap if
- you mostly put two windows side by side, or four in the corners
- you like Snap Assist's thumbnails or Snap groups on the taskbar
- you would rather install nothing
Or keep Snap too
- Turn off TesseraSnap's snap areas to let Windows own dragging. Shortcuts and throws still work.
- For Win+arrows, pick Ctrl and Win under Arrow keys and click Set arrow keys.
- Quit TesseraSnap and Snap is back as it was (Troubleshooting).
