--action nameRuns one action in the running TesseraSnap. Details.
--settingsOpens Settings, starting TesseraSnap if needed. Use it when the tray icon is hidden.
--quitCloses the running TesseraSnap, like Quit TesseraSnap in the menu, and waits up to 3 seconds.
--set section.key=valueChanges one setting in config.toml and reloads. Details.

Where the program is

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\TesseraSnap\tesserasnap.exe

That is the installer's path, used in the examples below. If you run the bare tesserasnap.exe, use its folder.

Run an action: --action

tesserasnap.exe --action name
Note Typed in a terminal, the command moves the terminal, since it is in front. A Stream Deck key or AutoHotkey hotkey moves the window you were using.

Stream Deck

  1. Drag a System → Open action onto a key.
  2. In App / File, enter the program and the action, for example:
    "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\TesseraSnap\tesserasnap.exe" --action left_half
  3. Press the key. The window in front moves to the left half.

If the box does not accept options, put the command in a .bat file and open that. One key per layout works well (--action layout_1 and so on).

AutoHotkey

This v2 script puts Left and Right Half on Win+Numpad 4 and Win+Numpad 6, and Layout 1 on Win+Numpad 0:

ts := EnvGet("LOCALAPPDATA") "\Programs\TesseraSnap\tesserasnap.exe"
#Numpad4::Run('"' ts '" --action left_half')
#Numpad6::Run('"' ts '" --action right_half')
#Numpad0::Run('"' ts '" --action layout_1')

PowerShell or a batch file

& "$env:LOCALAPPDATA\Programs\TesseraSnap\tesserasnap.exe" --action tile_all
"%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\TesseraSnap\tesserasnap.exe" --action cascade_all

Change one setting: --set

tesserasnap.exe --set snap.disable_windows_snap=false
tesserasnap.exe --set snap.edge_margin=30
