Custom sizes
Make up to ten window sizes of your own and use them anywhere an action goes.
Make a custom size
- Open Settings → Custom Sizes.
- In an empty row, type a Name.
- Type X % and Y % for the top-left corner, W % and H % for the size.
- Click Save.
Percent is of the display minus the taskbar, so one size fits every display.
| Example | X % | Y % | W % | H % |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Near maximum (slot 1 default) | 6 | 6 | 88 | 88 |
| Right 40 %, full height | 60 | 0 | 40 | 100 |
| Centered column | 25 | 0 | 50 | 100 |
Copy a window
- Put a window where you want it and click it.
- In Settings → Custom Sizes, click Use front window on a row, then Save.
Use a custom size
Each slot is an action, Custom 1 to Custom 10 (custom_1 … custom_10).
| Use it as | Where |
|---|---|
| Shortcut | Keyboard Shortcuts |
| Throw target | A Throw or Long Throw direction |
| Snap area | Snap Areas |
| Menu item | Tray menu → Custom Sizes |
| Command | tesserasnap.exe --action custom_1 |
Run a second action on repeat
Then runs a second action when you use the size again on a window already there. With Maximize, a second press maximizes and a third goes back.
- “Already there”: within 10 px, and this size was the last thing TesseraSnap did to it.
- Works from shortcuts, throws and the menu, not drag-to-snap.
- Off when Pressing a half, quarter or third shortcut again is Does nothing new.
- Layouts and other all-window actions can't be a “Then” action.
Custom Sizes columns
