Pin Mode

Pin Mode docks one window, such as chat or notes, in a strip at the side of its display. Everything else you place there fits beside it.

Pin a window

  1. Give Enable Pin Mode (toggle_pin) a shortcut on Settings → Pin Mode or the Keyboard Shortcuts page (none by default).
  2. Click the window to pin.
  3. Press the shortcut. It docks on the right, 25 % of the display wide, and overlapping windows move aside.

While a window is pinned

On that display only, these use the space beside the strip:

Unpin

Run Enable Pin Mode again or close the pinned window; quitting TesseraSnap or the end of the Pro trial also unpins. Other windows stay put.

Reflow around the pinned window

Run Reflow Around Pinned (reflow_pin) to move windows out from under the strip, keeping their size where it fits.

Always pin an app

  1. Open Settings → Pin Mode and tick Always pin an app.
  2. In App to pin, type the file name, such as msedge.exe, or click Running apps… and pick it.
  3. Click Save.
