TesseraSnap
About

A tessera is one tile in a mosaic.

Your screen is the mosaic. TesseraSnap sets each tile where it belongs, without dragging corners by hand.

Windows never got a good keyboard-first window manager. TesseraSnap is one: a shortcut or a flick puts the window where you meant it.

How it's built

Small and quiet

One 64-bit exe of about 2 MB, written in Rust directly against the Windows API. No framework, runtime or background service.

It acts on a key press or mouse event, then goes quiet. It needs no administrator rights, installs no driver and changes no other program.

Privacy

Nothing leaves your machine

No telemetry, analytics or account. The free version goes online only when you ask it to check for updates; Pro also checks its license key about once a week.

Settings and a small log stay in your AppData folder. See the privacy policy.

Who

Made by one person

TesseraSnap is built by Travis Patton, who spends the day in a lot of windows and wanted them to behave on Windows too.
